The Week Ahead…

A leader Goldfish is jumping for opportunity through a hole in a brick wall. There are other fish in the crowded fishbowl. Use it for a freedom or business metaphor about growing.

So anyways, how was your week? Did you set yourself any intentions at the New Moon?

Here in Sydney, it’s a sunny Saturday, and rather than participating in the deforestation of my garden, I’m having a mad fit of post scheduling. I’m off to Melbourne next weekend for the Romance Australia conference (seeing as how I’m now a fully fledged romance novelist), so need to get all of next weeks posts scheduled, plus those that would normally appear over the weekend.

I’m also about to start the re-write on my new novel, Big Girls Don’t Cry. I wrote a little about this on and anyways during the week. The structural edit came back last week and there’s work to do…of course there is. Thankfully the story, the voice, and the characters are in good shape, so I’ll be working mostly on getting some clunky feeling chapters un-clunked.

In the background of all that, I’m still drafting novel number 3 and filling in some chapters on an astro book that I’ll talk more about when I know which direction it’s going in.

With all of that on the go, I’m trying to wean myself out of the partition for one day a week. It’s something I’ve been working towards since September last year, but for one reason or another, I haven’t been (up until the last few weeks) hugely successful with.

I managed it last week, and we toddled off to Canberra for a flying visit (which I wrote about in this weeks Friday Five). I also managed it this Friday, and hubby and I enjoyed a rare lunch date on a school day. Bliss. I wrote about that yesterday.

On the astro blog was something about Jupiter in Virgo. This one really is about making or crafting your own luck. I also popped up something on the New Moon, and, of course, the latest Tuesday Toolbox.

I thought I might have been coming to the end of this particular Toolbox series, but think there could be another 4-5 weeks in it. We’ll see.

To the skies and the week ahead.

First up, as this post goes live is Sun conjunct Venus and Mercury trine Pluto.

I wrote a little about Sun conjunct Venus in last weeks look ahead. I mentioned that I’d probably be painting…that was before my back fell out again last Tuesday- I suspect a result of the painting I’d done last Sunday. Perhaps the energy will be better used going shoe and accessories shopping with Miss 17- her school graduation formal is just a month away.

As for Mercury trine Pluto? This has some of the nagging, obsessive qualities that all Mercury-Pluto contacts have. You know what I mean- those nagging thoughts and words and obsessions that just hang around the edges of your brain. Given that this is a trine, you can use this tendency to concentrate your mind on the deeper foundations you’re building.

Our next aspect worth mentioning is a rather stimulating little trine between Venus and Uranus on Thursday.

I’ve mentioned before that I rather like Venus- Uranus trines. They can be exciting, unusual and an opportunity to try something different, unexpected and unconventional. It’s about recognising these little windows as opportunities.

We start the weekend with a rather challenging square between the Sun and Saturn. Both planets are in the last degree of their respective (fixed) signs, so both are feeling a tad more intractable than usual. This one is about ego and self-gratification vs discipline, delayed gratification and duty. Yeah, it can be as fun as it sounds. Repeat after me- patience isn’t a bad thing…good things and rewards will come to those who put in the hard yards…eventually.

The week is rounded off with the Sun moving into Virgo…I won’t have time to write anything new on this, but will pop up last years post at some point.

Have a great week, and don’t forget to duck in for Tuesday Toolbox.

Oh, if you follow me on Facebook, you might have noticed the auto links are back up. I’m still not venturing onto the Facebook page too often, but…well, at least the posts are appearing there.

Until next time…
