Something about extremes, love and hate, and stinky tofu…

Moon in Scorpio

So, you know I’m in Taipei right? I figured that seeing as how the Moon was in Scorpio, I’d look for the complete experience, something intense to match the intense heat.

I thought seriously about stinky tofu.

Essentially it’s tofu that’s been fermented for a number of years- the older it is, the more “fragrant” the result. Then it’s deep fried and served with sweet and spicy sauce. Apparently if you hold you nose, it tastes just like fried tofu. Apparently. Apparently also if you want the full experience you inhale deeply as you chew.

I thought about it. I smelt it, and I wimped out. Yep, I just couldn’t do it. I was talking to a group of Taiwanese girls and they told me that it’s something you love or hate- like vegemite…

The most I was prepared to push myself out of my comfort zone yesterday was to choose the glass bottom option on the Maokong Gondola.

The gondola travels up and down mountains and across the top of lush valleys. At 4.3kms long and climbing to some pretty serious heights, even without the glass bottom cabins, it’s full on. Over the gorges the wind whistles through the windows and the cabins sway.

Anyways, I posted something about it yesterday over at and anyways, so jump across and have a look if you’re interested.

To the skies…take yesterday and hit repeat.

Todays square involves the Sun. Given that both luminaries are in fixed signs, don’t be surprised if a minor issue turns into a battle of wills toady. Egos at the ready.

A trine to Mars in Cancer, will have you safely containing all that needs to be contained, while a supportive link to an extremely efficient Venus will allow you to just get on with it all.
