Something about continuous change….

Moon in Taurus

Where has July gone?

For that matter, where has 2013 gone?

Today is a pause for reflection in more ways than one.

It’s a little like a comma between the bustle of Mars-Pluto and Venus-Pluto and tomorrows Mars- Uranus square.

The Taurus Moon can be like that, a Universal breathing space, a metaphorical few moments to smell the roses, appreciate the now, be in touch with your body and its relationship to the earth.

The other thing about Taurus is her, shall we say, dislike of change. Taurus isn’t comfortable with change, she needs to be convinced that it’s for the best, and then she needs to be convinced again.

Growth though- personal growth- only happens with change.

Some of us may need a little push for change to occur- we put up with a pretty crappy situation for far longer than we should. Then when we do decide to do something about it, we react suddenly, sometimes rashly, and very often without thought for the consequences.

Tomorrows Mars- Uranus square off can bring with it that sort of change- impulsive, wilful, change for the sake of it change.

Stirring the pot will be Moon square Venus and Moon inconjunct Saturn- the potential here is to behave impulsively, and possibly even rebelliously, without concern for your obligations and commitments.

Should we all be concerned?

Absolutely not. Those who will be impacted here will be those who haven’t reacted to the call to change in the past- in the partition job we used to call it fostering a climate of continuous and ongoing change. You know the sort- it’s where you’re constantly tuning and updating…before you have to. It’s one of the reasons why I had the koru tattooed on me all those years ago- as a reminder that potential is only unfurled as a result of change.

If you’ve been gradually adapting to your circumstances rather than holding firm to an out-dated idea of the way things should be, tomorrows Mars-Uranus square off probably won’t affect you at all.

On the other hand, if you have planets (especially personal planets) or chart points at or around 12 Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn and you haven’t been proactively looking at what needs to be tinkered with, I’d suggest that you use this time to do so. The time spent doing this now might just save you from possibly doing something in the heat of the moment that you later regret.

Anyways, that’s tomorrow. For today, if your schedule allows it, find some breathing space, just a few minutes to appreciate nature, to look at something beautiful, to taste something amazing, to be in the moment…then resume normal programming.

I’m guest posting over at Yasmin Boland’s Moonology all this week, so if you want to know what the stars have in store for you, duck on over here for a look.

  1. Hi Jo,
I have Uranus at 12 Aries in my relocated Solar Return chart 4th House. I have Uranus in my natal chart at 5 Leo 2nd House. Considering that I am slow to change how may my circumstance change? In my relocated Solar Return Uranus is square Sun & Mercury both 7th House, square Pluto 1st House, tribe Venus 8th House.
    Currently i am unemployed.

    • Look more at Uranus in your natal chart. In the 2nd, your Uranian lesson is to value freedom- your financial security depends on you being true to yourself. Look at the aspects being made to Uranus in your natal chart. Re your Solar Return, have a look at what planet is on the Ascendant. I’d be looking- honestly- at where you’re playing it safe. Look also at what Saturn is doing- this is likely to be representing fear around change. Also look at what planet is your timelord for the year. This will give you clues to the way forward for the year. The post is here: https://jotracey.com.au/?p=2540…and good luck!
