Daily Planets Wednesday 30/3/11 Mercury Retrograde- Let It Be
Here we go again. That time every few months where computers spontaneously contract viruses and dump files. When travel plans get stuffed up and appointments are missed. When arguments blow up out of all proportion to the original misunderstood or clumsily communicated message. We all know the rules, but I will be posting a refresher…

Saturn Retrograde- Getting Your Shit Together
It is often said that planets become more emphasised when they are retrograde ie appear to be going backwards from the perspective of us here on Earth. Personally, I find that simply terrifying when it comes to Saturn- although many of you won’t share that fear. The reason their action is emphasised is because it…

Going Backwards- Retrograde Dates for 2011 Pt1
Back to work this week and I am deep into planning mode. So, at the request of my Taurus colleague, here are the retrograde dates for the rest of 2011. Note, the dates are for Sydney (as always)… During any retrograde cycle of any planet we bring our attentions within. The energy of the planet…

Like So Whatever- Mercury Rx
Last night the broadband cable went down in our street. Being my normal “it’s all about me” self, my only concern was an interrupted signal last night through cable when I was trying to watch Rake, my favourite show of the year…and then I switched to digital anyway, so no problem. The broadband cable was…

Coincidence, Synchronicity and Punctuation Marks- Mercury Retrograde
A few weeks ago when I was in Melbourne, my friend & I went for a tarot reading at Spellbox. Readings here are always fun and usually pretty spot on. This latest one was no different. Without going into details, I pretty well got a “yes” to both questions I asked- even though one was…

In the tradition, every planet was said to be either in rulership, exaltation, detriment or fall in a particular sign. This…

A Venus Rx Post…with a happy ending
One of the things that Venus retrograde is good for is coming back in contact with past loves. Sometimes there may be unfinished business that shouldn’t have finished, sometimes it could be because there was no closure, sometimes it could be so that you can breathe a sigh of relief and say something like “what…

Passionfruit and Inspiration: Venus in Aries Redecorates
I had a flash of inspiration this morning. As with most flashes of brilliance under a Sagittarius Moon I wanted to rush straight down to the hardware store and start slapping paint around. Just two things stopped me: I have to work, so can’t just run off and start painting Venus is retrograde, so I…

Venus Retrograde- Venus in Aries Goes Furniture Shopping
So, there I was in the furniture store inches away from pulling out the credit card and ordering a ginormous table for the kitchen/family room. Yes, we need a new table- our is way too small (seats just 6) and, being covered with the remains of every craft project our daughter and her friends have ever…

Daily Planets Friday 8/10/10: Its Not You…Venus is Rx
As I write this my cocker spaniel has curled herself underneath my desk on my feet and is (not so) quietly snoring. Awwwww. Mention has been made over the last few days of the New Moon (4.44am Sydney time). As with all New Moons this is the start of a new cycle for the affairs…
