In the skies this week…

Adventure Spaniel watching the sunset

In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m tweaking a few things here and there – trying things out to see what has the biggest most effective impact. I’ve been doing really boring stuff – like reviewing data – over the last week or so of the Mercury retrograde.

All of that means a return to the week ahead posts. But with that comes something different that I’m trying – a daily mini forecast on instagram. Well, daily-ish…there’s bound to be some days when it doesn’t go up.

The way I figure it, I’m up and walking along the beach most mornings – and I’m finding that’s when I’m contemplating life, so why not share those thoughts and bore you with my sunrise photos at the same time?

Besides, instagram is my preferred social media outlet – and I’m most often found there. (If you’re interested, my personal instagram is @jotracey). You can find the daily posts at @jotraceyastrology.

Because I know some you aren’t on instagram, you can still access the days pic via my website. You’ll find it on the left sidebar – just under where the Moon is for the day.

One more note on this – I’m writing these at around 7am my time. Given that I know almost 50% of you are reading these posts from the US , and another almost 20% of you are in the UK or Europe, 7am my time is yesterday for you. The same stuff is happening, at the same time, it’s just while it’s 7am for me, it could be 2pm in the afternoon for you (LA), 5pm if you’re in New York…well, you get the idea. Whatever time it is for you, just know that I’m pretty much writing about the next 24 hours. Besides, by now you know me well enough to know I don’t get hung up on details…you also know me well enough that this could change again next week.

What else is happening?

We’re settling beautifully into our new life in Queensland, and my work routine is also starting to settle into a rhythm of sorts. My freelance deadlines are done and dusted, so I’ll be dedicating two afternoons a week to astrology writing – more specifically, getting Toolbox no 1, the ebook, ready for publication. I’ll disclose the publication date for that in my next newsletter – yes, there is one coming at the end of May. I’ll also be asking for some help from you on a title for that…

And my latest novel? I trashed most of it, so am now madly scrambling to get it back in shape for my editor to see what’s left of it. I wrote about that here.

Obviously, if you want to stay up to date with all of my rambles, you’ll find them here on and anyways. If you’re specifically after Sunshine Coast and sea-change related posts, you’ll find them at Navigator.

Ok, that’s the update. To the skies.

There’s a Full Moon in Scorpio on May 11 (7.42am my time, so late on May 10 for northern hemisphere readers). The Scorpio Full Moon is possibly the most confronting one (in my opinion) and also the one that needs the most honesty from you about you and your fears…probably why it’s the most confronting one! I’ll have something up on May 10, so for now, look at where 20 Scorpio falls in your chart and take a few minutes to consider what’s going on in that part of life for you – and if there’s any balancing work that needs doing. Most importantly, think about what needs to be released. I’ll leave that with you. If you want a sneak peek, here’s the link to last years post.

May 10

Sun trine Pluto

It’s great that this one is happening the day before a Scorpio Full Moon – but then again, I’m starting to realise that there’s no such thing as coincidences when it comes to this stuff.

This is one of those oh too brief transits where you can go within to see just what changes need to be made to make your life work in the way that you want it to – or something like that. Actually, change possibly isn’t the word I’m after, “reform” sounds more Plutonian.

Mercury conjunct Uranus

Ok, this is the third of these in the last month or so – because of Mercury being retrograde. Thoughts could be coming at you faster than you can capture them all today. It’s impossible to capture them all and almost as difficult to avoid jumping to conclusions. Don’t worry too much about this and instead enjoy the stimulation of free-thinking. It’s probably also best to resist the urge to act without thinking.

May 12

Mars square Neptune

Ok, let’s get some things straight with this. Firstly, your energy levels could be lower than usual this morning. Don’t fight that, but rather work with it. Secondly, you’ll probably feel more doubt and inadequacy that you usually do. It’s your call whether you listen to that and the nay-sayers around you or whether you decide that you’ll feel differently tomorrow. Thirdly, accept the consequences of your own actions and avoid the temptation to blame others for the decisions that led to those actions. Fourthly, the influence will be done and dusted by mid morning, leaving you to get on with the business of the day. Next?

Mercury trine Saturn

If you happened to catch any of those ideas flying by yesterday, or stopped to notice the synchronicity around you, and can get past the fug and poor me of Mars square Neptune, this is a good day for putting some real practical plans to turn those ideas into something more than that. At the very least, keeping your mind busy with serious work will take it away from dwelling on the stuff that Mars square Neptune can bring up.

Mars trine Jupiter

The day closes out with a huge amount more positivity than it started. If you read this post and decided to reschedule your morning training session, make sure that you fit it in this afternoon when your energy is higher – although those of you in the northern hemisphere will be starting your Friday with this. Enjoy.
