So anyways, the Mars energies were running high in our house yesterday morning.
Miss 17 in 2 days is studying for her half yearly exams- and studying and exams are both words that send her brand of Aries into orbit.
I’d had a week where I’d had to constantly check that the filter was firmly in place over my mouth, so was at that point where I was ready to say exactly what I felt like saying- instead of juggling the words in my head.
Hubby was trying to put his own brand of boundaries on both of us- which wasn’t going down well.
I put the Aries energy to good use by lacing up the trainers, popping some loud music into my ears and going for a long walk.
Miss nearly 17 popped some loud music into her ears and just flipping got on with it.
Hubby doesn’t listen to loud music, or go for long walks, so he went to the office and caught up on some work.
Yes folks, the Aries Moon is about just flipping doing it. JFDI.
In that spirit… to the week ahead.
After the intensity of the week that was, I looked at next weeks aspects with, ok, I’ll say it…a little disappointment. Where’s the banging drums? The clanging symbols? The eclipses? The Uranus-Pluto squares? Gone, I tell you…gone. That’s ok, the seasons are changing. Aries heralds the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere, and the start of Autumn, down under…although here in Sydney, I suspect we’ll be dressing to the weather forecast rather than the calendar for at least another month.
To the planetary forecasts…
Monday brings a sextile between Mercury and Pluto.
Sextiles are always about opportunities, but sextiles between planets in earth and water signs will be the sort of opportunity that you have to look for, recognise as an opportunity, and do something about it.
The Moon will be in Taurus, so perhaps you can’t be faffed, but if you’re inspired to do so, you can take a few steps to turn the dreams you dreamed at the New Moon the other day into something more real. It’s one where you might be able to get to the bottom of something you didn’t think that you could. It won’t, however, be through probing questions, but rather through inspiration and intuition.
Tuesday brings my baby girl’s 17th birthday. Was it really that long ago, and is she really that tall now?
Tuesday also brings another sextile, another opportunity- this time between Venus and Neptune. Venus and Neptune together- what could possibly go wrong with this one? Yeah, I like it too. But then, I like daydreaming, and fantasy and having my imagination inspired. I’m working on a new manuscript, so that’s all good.
If, however, you want to get some real work done, concentrate only on driving practicalities and delivering outcomes, you could be a tad frustrated on Tuesday. Just putting it out there.
If that’s you, just remember, a little illusion, a little romance, and the occasional fairytale, can be refreshing and replenishing. It’s only when you start believing in the delusions that things get messy. Go with the flow…if you can.
Besides, on Thursday, the Sun joins up with Saturn to get some serious shit done.
This is a day where your willpower should be riding higher than normal- relatively speaking of course. If you’re normally well disciplined, you’ll be even more so. If you’re normally a little, shall we say challenged, in this area, you should be able to say no- even though you really want to say yes.
Anyways, if you make sure that everything is where it needs to be, doing what it needs to be doing, you should finish the day with more ticks than crosses against your to-do list.
If you’d said no when you really wanted to say yes on Thursday, you’ll get an opportunity on Saturday to say yes, more please.
One of the most self-indulgent aspects- Venus square Jupiter- will be active. Now, in the interests of full disclosure, I live with this one, and struggle with it every day. Not because it’s a particular nasty transit- absolutely not. Rather it’s because it’s one of those aspects where the potential is to do big things (and, indeed, with a little discipline, you can), but you’re more likely to be wanting to pour that energy into what you want to be doing rather than what you should be doing.
Occasionally, like in a transit lasting a day, this is ok. Over a lifetime, however, it’s not. Just saying. Hashtag.
Enjoy it if you can, indulge yourself if you’re able, but try not to spend too much, eat too much, or party too hard. Anything done in excess and impulse (and yes, that applies to emotions as well) can come back to nip you on the butt tomorrow…or the day after…or the day after that.
The biggest danger on Saturday, with the Moon in Cancer, will be in knowing whether you’re eating too much, spending too much, loving too much or partying too hard because you want to and it brings you pleasure, or because you’re trying to make yourself feel better about something- self medication, so to speak. I’ll leave that one with you.
Have a great week…
Joxxx
