Moon in Sagittarius
I love the Moon in Sagittarius. Even though Sagittarius squares all of my Pisces 1st house planets, its ruler, Jupiter, is also my (traditional) chart ruler. Somehow, when the Moon is in Sadge, my head is full of optimism, faith in the future, ideas, big dreams, possibilities…all those things that Sagittarius and Jupiter are known for.
The energy suits me.
If you’re one of those who the energy doesn’t suit, there’s not a lot of relief out there today, or distraction. Astrologically, there’s not a lot happening up there at all…it’s pretty well a mostly fine lunar forecast…relatively speaking.
So, what can we talk about?
Building in the background is the second of three oppositions between Pluto and Jupiter.
Jupiter is moving very slowly at present, so this won’t be exact until a few hours after the New Moon, but both are now occupying the same degree at opposite ends of the zodiac-12 Cancer and Capricorn- so the energy is with us now.
Last time I wrote:
This can be an either or type of energy- a time when all your effort culminate in something that approximates your wishes coming true, or a time when it feels like the forces of the world are against you.
Jupiter represents faith, optimism and expansion, while Pluto is deeply into soul transformation and healing. In Capricorn, Pluto is particularly ambitious, while Jupiter, exalted in Cancer, is particularly intuitive, yet also more conservative and fearful than usual.
The opposition can represent a breakthrough or a break apart.
The shadow of Pluto is power for powers sake, a sort of Machiavellian manipulation to push yourself forward at the expense of others. The shadow of Jupiter can be an over reaching fanaticism and refusal to accept any other possibility. This transit is a reminder that your goals may need to change to take into account the needs and opinions of others- it’s also a reminder that at the end of the day generosity of spirit, faith and integrity is more important than coercion of others simply to get what you want.
Some of you may see road-blocks and lack of control in this, others may see limitless possibility for transformation and achievement- if they tweak their goals just a tad.
My message this time is much the same, except that with Jupiter in retrograde, there’s an opportunity here for adjustment or re-assessment of your goals, beliefs, view-points.
Think seriously and honestly about where you’re allowing your perceptions and hang-ups relating to the past to hold you back from reaching for your future.
The intentions you’ll be setting around the Aquarius New Moon will be just that- future driven. There is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to the Universe!
Newsletter subscribers would have received the latest issue of Moon Magic in their inbox yesterday. Included this month was a guide to intention setting under the Aquarius New Moon- and just how you can make it personal. Have you signed up yet? It’s raw, it’s visual, and it’s free.
