Something about sweet spots and flying pigs…

Moon in Capricorn

Moon into Aquarius

So anyways, last night we had Miss 15’s presentation night for school. Today is picnic day and the last day in the school year for, wait for it, two months. That’s one looooong summer holiday.

The whole thing was done and dusted efficiently- an hour from go to whoa. It started on time, finished on time, and the bits in the middle happened seamlessly. Even the principal resisted the urge to drag on.

Presentations are organised into year groups, sporting groups, with applause at the end of each section.

Too easy. In contrast, my neighbours were at their school’s presentation for a gruelling four hours. Yowsers.

Miss 15 was age swimming champion, so I did the proud Mumma things as she made her way across the stage.

It seems like such a long time has passed since she achieved that particular goal of hers- indeed, it was back in February- but watching those kids accept their awards, you could see the pride of accomplishment on their faces.

That’s the thing with Capricorn achievement- it’s quiet, it’s dignified, and it doesn’t require the hallelujah chorus and dancing girls.

As I write, the Moon and Venus are about to hook up.

This is usually one of those sweet spots, perhaps a little self indulgent, even. Let’s face it, the Moon in Capricorn is not particularly gushy, or expressive, but with Venus here, it is a point where pleasure can be felt in simple, natural things- no over indulgence required.

What else?

Aaaah yes, Mercury and Neptune.

These two are about to square off. Mercury has Big Ideas, Neptune has Dreams and Fantasies. Put them together and what have you got? Very often, delusional thinking! This is very much “it was how big????” territory. It’s also one of those transits where pie in the sky dreams feel real, where fantasies step out of your head and into your life, and where confusion could very well mask your usual clear thinking.

In fact, it can all feel a little like Mercury has turned retrograde again already.

What to do?

Firstly, enjoy your daydreams, but recognise them for what they are.

Secondly, keep your communication clear, crystal clear, today.

Thirdly, don’t try to hide, exclude or bury anything- it will only contribute to the fog around your brain and confuse the situation more.

Fourthly, tell it like it is. Spin and manipulation of the facts and scenario will also only lead to added confusion.

Fifthly, remember this transit is a short one and will be felt for just a day or so. If you have any wild and improbable ideas, take note of them, and watch indulgently as they flit past your office window on the backs of flying pigs.
