Moon in Capricorn
We have Mamma and Pappa Lion’s dog at the moment. If you asked my husband, he’d say thankfully only for another day or so.
The Tough One (as we call him) is still young so is more…interested?…in new things than our world wise flop dog is. Read that for barks at everything.
Possums treat our garden shed and house like a possum superhighway, so that’s caused him a few concerns. They also like to play at night on the pool fence and brush boundary fences and almost taunt him. Our pooch, in contrast, will open a lazy eye, assess the newcomers as possums and not worth the vocal energy, and go back to sleep.
This morning both were excited. A family of ducks were in the swimming pool. The Tough One stood and barked (incessantly) at them. Ours ran back and forward from the pool to the back door to tell us all about it. ‘Come and look, come and look,’ she may as well be saying.
And that’s pretty well all there is to look at today.
The Moon is about to move into Capricorn- a place where she’s really not comfortable. It is, however, a good time to be getting your ducks in a row…so to speak.
This month the first meeting will be with Venus. In Capricorn this is more of a coffee catch up then an exchange of sweet nothings and partner problems- and that’s not a bad thing. Moon-Venus contacts often bring with them the risk of a little sweet indulgence, but in Capricorn, the focus is more on getting on with it. As my husband used to say when we were working together, but before we were dating, ‘leave your personal problems out of the office.’ Once we were dating I’d answer back ‘I can’t- they’re staring at me through the partition!’
Anyways, I’m sure you get the gist.
Suffice to say there’s nothing big happening until the early hours of tomorrow morning (Sydney time).
After meeting up with Venus, the Moon will follow up with Neptune and Mercury. These are sextiles, so while opportunities might exist, being in feminine signs, you’ll have to go looking for them.
Things get interesting when the Moon meets up with Pluto, activating (again) that ongoing square with Uranus. For those of us in the Southern hemisphere, we should be sleeping through it, but elsewhere, you guys will need to be aware of the energy as you hit the first of your Thursday morning meetings. By now you should know the Moon conjunct Pluto, Moon square Uranus drill.
In short, this is the classic conservative-progressive clash of wills. Every so often the status quo should be challenged- it’s how we grow. This doesn’t mean that every new idea is good, or all about the way we have always done it is bad, just that there’s a certain amount of potential in both viewpoints. This aspect, although brief, brings that out.
