With the Moon in Leo, I figured I’d share the love a little with a book review…back to normal programming later…
A few years ago, Stephanie Holland was like many of us- swapping a part of her soul for a monthly pay check and the security of knowing that bills would be paid. Like many of us, she blamed the 9-5 for the lack of creative fulfilment.
But then she realized that:
- She was in charge of her life and no one was forcing her to do anything
- She had to start listening to her ah-ha moments
- She needed to change her relationship with money
- She already had what she needed to change her trajectory
Oh, and she had to take responsibility for making deliberate, purposeful choices. Absolutely.
And Absolutely On Purpose was born.
Anyone who reads my astrology knows that I’m not into navel gazing or blame storming. Instead, for me, my passion is about mindfully maximising potential and dealing with challenges. Some may say I have a Pollyanna complex, I prefer to call it Blue Sky thinking.
Absolutely on Purpose isn’t an astrology book- far from it.
Instead it uses yogic philosophy to help you identify what’s tangling you in knots, what’s really holding you back, and what’s stopping you from unfurling, in the words of the Amazon blurb, your brilliance across the Universe.
Stephanie is part of a kick arse group of writers who’ve come together on Facebook, so when she called for readers/ reviewers, I was thrilled to take the opportunity. I devoured this on the overnight flight home from Taiwan, pen and paper by my side. This isn’t a passive read- it’s full of tools and tips and questions. It asks you to look below your surface to find your real passion.
If, like me, you’re feeling stuck, feeling as if you’re all talk and no trousers and that your follow through is non existent, but your basket of excuses is over flowing, there’s no room to hide in this book- especially if you’re serious about finding your own way forward.
The whole philosophy fits within my real world astrology view- you know, learn about yourself and then use what you know to be the best version of you that you choose to be.
The timing is great for Stephanie too- the book is launched today, with Mercury in Scorpio. The whole point of Mercury in Scorpio is to dig deep, sometimes way below the surface, sometimes through manky toxic stuff, to find what’s blocking you. It’s up to you what you do with that knowledge, but if you can get past the fear and look it square in the face, it’s this information that has the power to transform.
Anyways, if you’re interested, Absolutely on Purpose is on sale now at Amazon.
This review is my opinion only…& all the other usual fine print…
