Something about headlines…

So I had a brush with death the other day.

It was a little like a magazine headline: Astrologer’s Brush With Death…

Not really, but the friend (a triple Aries who likes nothing better to ride in on his steed and save the day…metaphorically speaking, of course…I doubt that he’s ever been near a horse) who bravely, with no thought for his own uncompromised safety, pulled me from the path of a car that was thoughtlessly, yet relatively slowly, reversing from its car park, believes that he has saved my life, so therefore I need to be endlessly grateful blah blah blah.

Naturally I’m grateful, but hello, it was hardly death defying stuff and I should have been concentrating more on where I was walking than the discussion we were having.

Anyways I googled it: what do you owe the person who saved your life?

Aside from one response that I won’t be repeating here- in case my friend gets ridiculous ideas- all the answers were pretty well saying the same thing- that the savee should be grateful, but the saver shouldn’t expect anything more than that. So there.

Although a number of people on that particular forum did suggest that in saving me from the jaws of…the path of the slowly reversing car…my friend is actually now responsible for me…

Anyways, this is all a rather clumsy way of leading into the weekends astrology- which actually has nothing at all to do with life debts, but everything to do with Libra- or rather, the Moon in Libra.

Here in Australia, it’s election day. We’re going to the polls to elect our Prime Minister. Unlike the US, a sitting Prime Minister can remain for as long as the public continues to vote him or her back in every three years or so. Also, voting is compulsory here.

Although a Libra Moon is a good opportunity to weigh alternatives carefully, balancing ideas and viewpoints, I suspect that on this occasion most people will have made their minds up well before the polling booths and the sausage sizzles open at 8am.

Libra Moon is also a great time to do some shopping, have some fun, see friends, dress up…and I’ll be doing all of the above.

I’m celebrating the birthday of a dear friend, so am off to the theatre with some girlfriends. What are we seeing? Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead…As my husband quipped: ‘well, you’ll be home early then…’

Happy Birthday Michelle….and, what else have I been coached to say? Thank you D for saving my life. Happy now?
