Moon into Scorpio

The big story of today is the meeting of Jupiter and the Sun.

Both of these planets are gathering energy to leap into Cancer, so are feeling just a little more interested in getting things done.

Jupiter and the Sun have a lot in common.

More than you’d think.

Jupiter, according to many scientists, was very nearly a sun itself.

There’s a seriously complicated and technical explanation, but essentially, Jupiter was prevented from growing to the mass required of a star by the way in which the rest of the Solar System developed.

I’ve even read some work that claims that Jupiter radiates more energy than it receives from the Sun. I can’t be faffed looking any further into it, but it seems to fit.

Anyways, think about the keywords we use for the Sun:

Vital, warm, confident, enthusiastic, creative…

Now think about words that we use to describe Jupiter:

Confident, exuberant, abundant, optimistic, generous, expansive

See the similarity?

It’s a little like two kings coming together. Two great powers joining forces.

It could easily be the clash of two great egos, but that’s not what Jupiter is about. Instead what we have today is the opportunity to harness more of what each has to offer.

Being in Gemini, you may finally understand something that will blow your mind, or trigger an idea that brings all of your hopes for the future together.

As with all things Jupiter, there is a warning about excess- excessive behaviour, excessive risk, excessive consumption- but you know what? This transit doesn’t come along that often, so if you have a vision for the future, there is an opportunity to dig deep, trust your instincts, confront your fears, and put yourself out there.

  1. How would you describe the personality of a person born today when the Jupiter/Sun conjunction is exact? Jupiter conjunct Sun in Gemini, Saturn conjunct moon in Scorpio trine Neptune, Venus conjunct mercury in cancer. Somewhat difficult to understand Saturn conjunct moon in Scorpio with the other two conjunctions. Perhaps the trine from Neptune soften it?

    • Good question. The answer will depend on the rising sign, but it will be someone with a broad mind, a grasp & enthusiasm for new ideas, but with the edges softened beautifully by the trine. If, however, the conjunction was in the 12th, it will be someone who feels they aren’t heard.
