Gemini Full Moon
My daughter has always loved a question – not in that incessant “but why” way many kids have, but other … deeper … questions. Things like “We only see them out in the rain so where do snails go when it’s not raining?” Or even, “where does all the snot (mucus) live when you don’t…

Handling your truth
So hubby and I have been wearing one of those glucose monitoring thingies on the back of our arms over the last week. It’s something a visiting medical friend suggested last week. Hubby, you see, has been in denial about things like that – what you can’t see blah blah blah. Nothing I could say…

Freedom and the Aries Full Moon
So anyways, yesterday I walked away from my day job. It wasn’t as dramatic an exit as that sounds, it was, instead, quite lovely and something I’d made a decision on and been working towards for a couple of months. I know I’ll miss my colleagues and the daily interactions – even though as I…

Once in a Blue Moon
31 August 2023, Full Moon 7 Pisces 25′ Driving back from the beach this morning the radio announcer was talking about this week’s blue moon. A blue moon – when you get two full moons within a month – is relatively uncommon, happening once every 2 ½ years. Two blue moons in the one year…

Happy Birthday Virgo
Here in southeast Queensland spring is around the corner – not that we really get a spring as such. While we don’t have frosts so don’t get the blossoms and the bulb flowers that herald the coming of spring elsewhere, I can feel it in the warmth of the days and there’s a smell in…

Mercury Retrograde August 2023
In our lives, we are so busy multi-tasking, juggling devices and schedules that we forget to notice the details. We miss things. For me, Mercury retrograde has always been that time when we’re reminded that a little back-tracking, a little revision, a few deliberate pauses in the day can be a way in which we…

There’s Someone I Forgot To Be
The other day I set out to write about the Leo New Moon and ended up writing about football. While the themes were the same – getting over imposter syndrome to roar (or shine) – it wasn’t the new moon post I wanted to write. Besides, I still had George Michael’s Freedom ’90 cycling through…

Leo New Moon – Hear Me Roar
New Moon 23 Leo August 16, 2023, 7.39pm AEST Last Saturday night the Australian women’s football (soccer) team – the Matildas – made history in beating France in an epic game that stretched into 3 hours and involved the longest penalty shootout in World Cup history – mens or womens. It was watched by millions…
