Mars in Taurus – Going The Distance

The first thing we need to know about Mars in Taurus is that Mars is in his detriment here – he’s operating from a sign where he doesn’t feel at all comfortable.

You see, Taurus is a Venus-ruled sign and is all about pleasure and taking the time to smell the roses. Mars, on the other hand, is driven to win and push forward. Taurus’ motivations are around physical security and her goals are closely aligned to achieving this.

Taurus is about conserving energy and prefers to expel it efficiently and steadily. Mars wants to burn.

If we put this together, in Taurus, Mars’ energy is steady, controlled and strong. He’s slow to anger, but once in that mode, can be slow to switch back. Raging bull anyone?

Once he’s decided that he wants someone or something he’s prepared to work for it and will be there for the long haul. Mars in Taurus has immense staying power and can go the distance.

When he’s made up his mind, there’s very little that will change it – adaptability is not Taurus’ strong suit – and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Likewise, if he has achieved his goals and acquired whatever it was he desired, he is reluctant to relinquish it. This goes for relationships too.

If you have Mars in Taurus, you might need some persuasion to get moving after whatever it is that you need to get moving after, but once you’ve started – moving, that is – there’s very little that will stop you.

What does he want – Mars in Taurus? He has an appetite – in more ways than one. He also wants to feel comfortable, secure and to have “enough”….whatever enough actually means.
