Mercury conjunct Neptune

Moon in Taurus

I normally write these little aspect posts weeks ahead. In fact, I’m going through scheduling out for the rest of March now. Ok, I’ve been trying to concentrate long enough to do that since about 6am this morning.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got stuff done today. I’ve watched the last episode of Lewis – very nicely done to the writers too, I must say. I’ve also re-watched the pilot of The Good Wife on Netflix – which led me down the rabbit hole of watching another few episodes. It’s just as good on second viewing with a number of years in between.

I’ve sat down and had a cup of tea and a chat with my neighbour, and I’ve written a random scene in my current novel that I’m not even sure has anything to do with the story. I’ve eaten way too much – procrasti-bingeing – but I haven’t scheduled any posts for this site.

I guess that’s Mercury conjunct Neptune for you. The aspect isn’t exact until later this evening, but it’s very definitely been in the weather forecast all day today.

Ok, I’m probably being a little hard on myself – I do have one or two things on at the moment. Essentially, though, Mercury conjunct Neptune can be great for imaginative work where you don’t want reality to get in the way of a good story. The danger is when you mistake fantasy for reality.

It’s not a great time for one of ‘those’ talks either – you know, the ‘we need to talk’ talks. This is mainly because unless you’re highly skilled in the art of reading minds and emotions, you might think you’ve been clear when, in fact, you’ve been anything but. On the other hand, if you are highly skilled in the art of reading minds and emotions, it’s a great day for doing so.

OK, must run – just had the BEST idea EVER for a new reality show… oh wait…it’s gone already!
