Curious and curiouser…

In the early hours of tomorrow morning (1.56am Sydney time) we have a New moon, in Gemini.

Gemini Moons are, above all, about human connection- joining the dots between seemingly disparate pieces of data and making a picture from it. It’s about new ideas, it’s about information, it’s about questioning, it’s about social contact.

Over the last week or so, I’ve stepped back from much of my social contact. I’m feeling a little trapped by it.

I looked seriously at my personal Facebook page and contemplated turning it off, at least for a short while. But, because I need it to keep my astro FB page going, I’ve simply decided not to interact with anyone- for now. I have to do this every so often.

I’m struggling to keep parts of myself separate. While most astro friends on my personal page respect my wishes not to talk too much astro on my personal page- that’s why I created the Jo Tracey Astrology Facebook page- I’m finding the crossover is a little emotionally tiring at present. I need space where I can just be me, not astrome. I do this when I do conferences or off sites- take myself right away until my skin is back in place. That probably doesn’t make a lot of sense to many of you, but us Pisceans have a porous membrane instead of skin.

At present though, the boundaries are blurred, so I’m pulling back, just until I can deal with that again.

My blog posts from And Anyways automatically land there, but otherwise…

I have, however, been writing- lots of words…so the Gemini energy isn’t completely lost on me.

Today we’ve had yesterdays grand water trine replaced by a Mars/Neptune square.

This is one of the more problematic Neptune contacts. Given that Mars equals energy and drive and Neptune dissolves what it touches, you’re left with either dissipated or seriously unfocused drive. Doubt, disillusionment and disappointment creeps in and the light at the end of the tunnel is obscured by fog.

This energy will be with us tomorrow at the New Moon.

The big aspect in play at the New Moon is the t square between Mercury (the ruler of this Moon), Uranus and Pluto. Breakthroughs might be possible, but you’ll need to work for it and through it.

As with all t squares, we look for any easing of the tension as our way through. In this case there’s a (wide) sextile from Pluto to Neptune, and a (wide) trine from Mercury to Saturn. Yes, the way through this one is via yesterdays grand water trine…your intuition.

The key degrees we’re looking at here is 18 Gemini, so any planets or chart points between 16-20 Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius and Virgo will be in play at this New Moon. To a lesser, or relatively “easier” extent, will be planets and chart points at 16-20 Libra, Aries, Aquarius and Leo.

  1. Love that description, “porous skin”

There is a book I have read that will sing to you when you’re in the mood for some additional excellent works in a different and definitely Piscean style, taste & texture.

An Australian author, Margo Lanagan : “The Brides of Rollrock Island”, also published as “Sea Hearts”.

You trusted me on my last recommendation. When you want to dive deep, trust me on this. x
