The Week Ahead: 25 February – March 3, 2019

The week in photos

Okay okay, I know I’ve been missing again. This truly is becoming a bit of a habit.

It’s mostly to do with a more than usual amount of overwhelm in the day job. I’ve had some interstate travel happening as well, and my usual level of manageable chaos has become something a little unmanageable and my head hurts with the effort of keeping it all under control. Hence I’m playing catch-ups. If I owe you an email, please accept my apology.

What’s irritating me more than the general chaos at the moment – after all, I’m used to a certain amount of that – is the way my brain currently feels as though it’s wrapped in cotton wool. Despite being one of the most Piscean people you’re ever likely to meet I’m actually not used to feeling like that. At the moment though, I’m having to get in touch with my Virgo opposite and break things down, write things down and tick things off.

Those of you who are more in touch than me would have immediately caught on that this is my Full Moon lesson. But I’m a tad slower on the uptake than that at the moment. In my defence, Neptune is currently square my Midheaven and 1 degree away from being conjunct my Ascendant so it’s probably no wonder that I’m feeling the way that I am. Moreover, I should be amazed that I’m achieving anything. And yes, that only just occurred to me then.

The way that I figure it, I have a week off in 2 weeks time so I can let go a little then. In the meantime, given that I’m not, at the moment, prepared to change anything I need to change my attitude to it – and kick myself out of the rather appalling mood that I find myself in today.

Of course, I could always blame the stars for my mood and I could even blame the wind – here on the Sunshine Coast we have the tail-end of what is now called ex-Tropical Cyclone Oma. As an aside, it’s whipped up some fabulous surf. The wave in the photos below totally wiped me out the other morning – drenched from head to toe. It was hilarious – and I must have looked hilarious – but at least I captured the pics. Yes, I could blame any of those things but this restlessness and frustration is all within me – and I’m the one projecting it out.

While I’ve been absent from here the Sun has sidled into Pisces. That means that it’s birthday month for me and everyone else fortunate enough to have been born under a Pisces Sun. Sure Pisces has its shadow side – as does every sign – but there’s a whole lot more to us than meets the eye. If you want to know a little more about the Piscean in your life, check out this post.

Okay, to the week ahead. We have to wait until Thursday for anything of real interest – a sextile between the Sun and Mars. Even though both of these planets are in “feminine” signs where you might need to look a tad harder for the opportunities, this is actually good energy for getting things done. The Moon is in Sagittarius so it could be far easier to say yes than no.

If you do find yourself in a position where you need to assert yourself or have to take the lead in something use the influence of Pisces to put yourself in the shoes of others. This isn’t about you.

Friday sees a square between Venus and Uranus. I often think of the Pink song “leave me alone- I’m lonely” when I see this transit. Essentially it’s about a need for stimulation, something different, a change of pace, perhaps a contact with someone new, a flirtation that you know will go nowhere, experimentation with something a tad unusual.

Uranus is in the last degree of Aries and champing at the bit to move on but also finish off what he was in Aries to take care of. While Uranus might be whispering in your ear to throw everything out and start again in most cases (okay, not all) you don’t need to change your life in order to make things more interesting.

With the Moon in Capricorn being aided and abetted by Saturn, there’s a risk that you might try and blame someone else for your restlessness. Given that it’s probably coming from within you and being projected out today is not the day to capsize any otherwise sea-worthy vessels.

If you can be logical and reasonable and discuss things like a grown-up, by all means, get things out into the open. If not, why not distract yourself by trying something new? Just for today. If the underlying issues are real, they’ll need to be addressed – constructively – but perhaps not while there’s a lot of negativity in the air clouding the root cause…which could be coming from you. Just thinking out loud.

Speaking of all things Uranian, Venus moves into Aquarius on Saturday. In Aquarius, Venus takes pleasure in the quirky, the unusual, the non-conventional. If you want to know more about Venus in Aquarius, you’ll find the post here. As for the rest of us? I’ll pop something quick up later in the week.

Okay, that’s it from me for this week. I suspect I’ll be travelling again next Sunday, but I’ll try and schedule something in before I go.

Have a great week…
