Full Moon 25 Cancer 58′

I’m feeling a little like the Moon at the moment- full, round, and seriously moody.
I’m not having any seriously shitty transits, just a few hair trigger ones. As I’ve said before, though, it’s these little ones that push along the messages from the major, background transits.
Saturn is still trine my Sun. He’s also within smooching distance (if Saturn were know to smooch, that is) of my Neptune and Jupiter, but that one is still a few degrees away.
Pluto and Uranus are also both in clear water- as far as my chart is concerned. Neptune, on the other hand, is trine my 8th house Scorpio Mars…to the degree….so all I want to do is lie on the beach, lie in the pool, soak up the sun (and yes, I do the slip, slop slap thing) and write love stories with happy endings and just a teeny bit of naughty stuff.
With Miss 15 still on school holidays, it’s all too easy to slip into distraction mode…which leads to self destruction mode, as far as the work I’m supposed to be doing goes.
I have a dear, dear, girlfriend getting married somewhere exotic this year- and I desperately want to go…but that means doing something a little more income producing than lying on a beach, lying in the pool, soaking up the sun. Saturn is reminding me of that- and so he should.
Then there’s the other stuff. Retrograde Venus is square my Venus, and Mars is currently opposite my Venus. There’s so much I want to do, and seemingly so many obstacles in the way. Again, Saturn is there with his wise, and responsible words, but my Aries Venus can be pretty wilful and childlike when she puts her mind to it.
Yesterday I had a mini meltdown- for no reason other than my internal frustrations were being projected outward. I could see that, even as I was in the middle of the vortex that was my temper. And trust me, with Mars in Scorpio and my natal Moon-Pluto opposition, when I vent, it’s of volcanic proportions- and all around me evacuate.
The thing is, it needed to come out. The background conditions were right, and the Moon in Cancer provided the switch.
And, just like after a real storm, once it had passed, everything looked so much clearer and brighter- as if the situation was fully lit, illuminated.
That’s what a Full Moon does, lights that which previously couldn’t be seen clearly.
You don’t need an emotional cyclone to do it. The breakthrough can just as easily come from a moment of stillness, of quiet. Possibly if I hadn’t been fighting so hard against my impulses, the same clarity could have come when I was lying on my back in the middle of the pool yesterday afternoon, gazing up at the trees full of cockatoos and the sky so blue it looked fake.
With it’s (albeit wide) conjunction to Jupiter, this full and feeling Moon is all about faith…and faith is something that Cancer might know about in her soul, but is also suspicious of.
That thing (you know what it is) that was just a seed of an idea at the New Moon, now needs to be harvested. That means you need to do something about it. Now. Sure, you can wait safely and comfortably inside until the weather (both meteorological and emotional) is better, but what if it isn’t? What if now is when you need to take action?
On the other side of the chart, Venus is square Mars. What you want, what you desire, isn’t just going to drop into your lap. You need to put in place practical steps, overcome some fears and negativities. And, if it’s really important, that’s exactly how it should be.
Speaking of negativities, I’ve read a lot over the last couple of days about the Laws of Attraction, about thoughts manifesting results etc etc etc….about how often that which you fear is manifested simply because those fears are stronger than that which you desire. I posted a beautiful (non astro)piece by Sarah Wilson on the Facebook page yesterday that describes this beautifully.
The Full Moon is the prime time for attraction…so be very mindful of what messages you’re sending out right now. On the other hand, if you want to practice a little of this, now is the time to be doing it.
Anyways, what does this mean for you?
The Full Moon falls at 25 Cancer 58’. This is where the action is for you. Centre any Full Moon attraction wishing around this area of life.
Pull out your chart and have a look at where this falls for you. If you don’t have a chart, in the interests of DIY astro, here’s how to get one.
Now, look around the chart- are there any planets between 24-28 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries? What about Scorpio, Pisces, and even Virgo and Taurus? Don’t forget to look at the Ascendant and Midheaven.
Does the Full Moon activate any aspect patterns in your chart?
For a DIY interpretation guide, check out this post from last year.
Now, I’m off to find a magnet, some paper and a pen to do a little Full Moon wishing for myself. What do I wish for? That would be telling…
