Something about the glass being less than full…

Moon in Capricorn

I’m resting on my laurels a little today.

Yesterday, you see, I was super productive in an earthy, practical way.

I’ve learned from previous Capricorn Moon periods not to attempt anything creative- Capricorn Moons and me tend not to mix…it’s a Saturn thing.

Instead, as the Moon joined Pluto, I was transforming a small part of my back yard- digging over the soil, ripping out plants that had come from the bums of birds, removing weeds and re-planting….bringing that little corner back to life.

Then I spent the afternoon setting a survey for my book project,  manually loading all my email respondents into a mailing list, and creating birth charts for all respondents. Phew.

After the job was done, I put my glad rags on and went to a party- just in time for Venus to trine Neptune.

Todays lunar energy will be pure Capricorn. This is good if you’re wanting to get something practical done, not so good if you’re the type that doesn’t deal well with Saturn energy or if you’re prone to look at life as a glass half empty.

If this is you, the void Capricorn Moon can tend to bring with it melancholia and a general cast of grey. I struggle each month, at this time, with confidence and cheer- knowing that in a day or so everything will look ok again.

If this is you, take some time to sit and appreciate all that you have achieved, doing your best to push away pesky thoughts of what is not yet achieved, or still to be achieved.

For me, I’ll be admiring that little corner of the garden and recording survey results as they come in, and firmly turning my head from the enormity of the task still ahead.
