Lots of Sagittarius Moon stuff, a few new dance moves and building for dummies…

The Moon is in Sagittarius, and for those of us here in relocation hell, the mood has definitely lifted.

The Sag Moon is one of renewed optimism and hope…and is more than a little playful. Today this has been particularly the case with spirited Mars in Gemini boosting up a fun loving Mercury in Leo.

So, I guess it is no coincidence that not only did I have my first really effective workout in a week this afternoon, but thanks to the Building Site Manager here, I also learned a few new dance moves for next time I go out to play. Swordfish or Whipper Snipper anyone? Not to mention a few choice phrases that I need to add to my meeting bingo list that are absolute pure gold. Gotta love tradies…

The other thing a Sagittarius Moon is great for is putting out fires- not full on dressed up in orange suits and hoses blazing forest fires, but those spot fires that spring up and could very easily become something a lot more if not extinguished on the spot. In my world, this means things like fixing phones, the latches on toilet doors, dongles for internet access and making sure the engineer has a vacuum cleaner that blows- all stuff that lets everyone else do their job effectively. We still, though, have a mutant door bell that breaks into random song periodically…even though the chime itself is just that, a chime. The girls on the floor put it down to the resident presence.

Elsewhere in the sky, Jupiter is rapidly running out of buddies. He obviously went to sleep on his couch after the footy the other night and all his mates shot through. Mars is still prodding Mercury in the back and encouraging some pretty animated look at me stuff, while Venus in Cancer is chasing down Saturn in Libra for a square-off/showdown/we need to talk about last night. The Venus/Saturn square is one of the few aspects that Venus involves herself in that doesn’t have a self-indulgence theme. This one can be much more difficult than that.

If you have a Venus/Saturn aspect natally, you would most likely take your love affairs and pleasure slowly and seriously- and that in itself is a good thing. Where is becomes problematic is when, especially with the square aspect at play, your fears overcome your desires. In the case of Venus in Cancer, this may be a reticence to pop your head outside the shell and make a move unless guarantees are absolutely present. At the end of the day, this may result in missing out on many of lifes and loves great pleasures…on the other hand, waiting until you do feel secure provides a steadfast and stable sort of security that can deepen commitment- it just takes a little longer to get what you want.

I had a quick lesson on building stuff yesterday in language even I can understand. It went something like: you dig a big hole, throw a heap of grey muddy stuff into it, pop in some steel reinforcement and wait for it to set. Then you pop in a few columns for stability, another slab on top of that and repeat until it gets as high as the amount of grey muddy stuff in the bottom will support it. Then you pretty up the outsides and add a bit of decoration inside to look good. It takes a while, but if it is done properly it will last for ever. This current aspect is much like that, and you may be feeling that frustration and tension if you have planets or chart points at or around 9-12 Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Aries.

The photo I have used today comes from my BMF who has recently done a very Sagittarian trip to Valencia, which is a very Sagittarian beach party city, to watch loud and expensive cars driven by expensively contracted men living a very Sagittarian tour the world life drive them around a track.  The building in the picture is built sort of like a giant eye, with reflections and shadows intensifying images at different times of the day. Very cool. And very Sag…I can sort of imagine someone coming up with the idea under a flash of Uranian brilliance and convincing everyone else that it really is possible to turn the blue sky vision into reality…possibly even uttering those very Sagittarian words: “I mean seriously, how hard can it be????”
