Happy Birthday Pisces

I came across this beautiful poem the other day. It was in an episode of Lewis – an English crime series that I’m doing some serious binging on at the moment when I should be writing – procrastiwatching, I call it.

The line ‘And the moonbeams kiss the sea’ was what got me. Just how beautiful is that? So I googled it and found the whole thing: Love’s Philosophy by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

As I read the lines, it all blurred into one thought: Pisces. It read like it would if Pisces was a poem.

Of course, if you read it from another perspective you’d also get Shelley’s Leo dramatic romanticism, but that’s another story.

The fountains mingle with the river

And the rivers with the ocean,

The winds of heaven mix for ever

With a sweet emotion;

Nothing in the world is single;

All things by a law divine

In one spirit meet and mingle.

Why not I with thine?—

 See the mountains kiss high heaven

And the waves clasp one another;

No sister-flower would be forgiven

If it disdained its brother;

And the Sunlight clasps the earth

And the moonbeams kiss the sea:

What is all this sweet work worth

If thou kiss not me?

Just how beautiful is that?

The Sun is now in Pisces. That means that this little fishie has a birthday coming up. Don’t worry about wishing me happy returns just yet – it’s not for another few weeks. If you’d like to know more about Pisces – both the sun and the shadow – check out this post. After all, who better to tell you about Pisces than a Piscean?

Doing it for yourself…

We all have Pisces somewhere in our chart, and it’s this part of life that the Sun will be warming and energising. It’s this part of life that you’ll find your imagination and spirituality stimulated. This month, it’s not so much about what’s practical as what’s possible. The beyondness (and yes, as far as I’m concerned, that’s a word) of Pisces has little time for ‘should’.

Pisces is first house for me, so I have a few weeks of recharging myself ahead. I have a busy couple of months deadline wise – and day job-wise – ahead, so need that shot of sunlight.

If you don’t have your chart, read this post on how to get one.

If you don’t know what the houses mean, check out series 1 of the Toolbox or this post.

If you don’t have any idea about your birth time, or can’t be faffed working it out, you can follow the solar guide. Naturally, if you do know where Pisces falls in your chart, you won’t need this guide.
