First, you were like, whoa! and then we were like, WHOA!

So anyways, I’ve been struggling with faith a bit lately. Not just the whole believe in yourself thing, but the whole everything will be ok, or will work itself out how it needs to work out thing.

We had a few weeks of respite while on holiday, but the issues that had been lurking were waiting when we got back. I won’t bore you with the details, suffice to say, I’m struggling to let go and believe. I’ve been letting the details of this particular little pile of excrement blur the good stuff that’s all around- and that annoys me.

Yet that is the message of this Full Moon- belief…in the bigger picture, the greater purpose, the end result, the horizon.

It’s about knowing that no matter what else happens, the earth will keep turning, the rain will fall and the sun will come out. In between will be rainbows and dark stormy clouds, but ultimately, somehow, it will all be ok.

The Sagittarius Full Moon is a time where we balance what we know versus what we know.

With all of the activity currently in Gemini, there are plenty of questions being asked, plenty of information being gathered and plenty of data being analysed. With Mercury retrograde, we’re revisiting a lot of things too. This is the stuff we know….or think we know.

At the other end of the scale is the stuff we know because we just do. It’s our faith that at the end of a rainy day will be a glass of red wine and the optimism that tomorrow will be better.

At this Full Moon, Sagittarius (the Moon) is associated with truth, faith, optimism and belief…what we know in our heart whereas Gemini (the Sun) is associated with information and data…what we know in our head. What truth do we know but haven’t yet acknowledged? There is no hiding from it under this Full Moon.

Wherever this Full Moon falls is where you need to use this faith to go further, travel wider, expand your boundaries.

Full Moon June 2015

Neptune is involved in this Full Moon through a T-square off to the side, challenging all of this, dissolving it, adding a little magic, dolloping on a little confusion, possibly blocking your view so that you can’t see past the rain to the rainbows.

As with all t-squares, huge potential exists in the friction…but somehow you need to access that. To do that, we usually look for an “easier” aspect coming off one of the points. This Full Moon, that “easier” aspect is in the form of a Grand Fire Trine involving the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus- although Uranus is pretty wide from an orb viewpoint.

Grand Trines can often be wasted potential- the shoulda woulda coulda stuff, but with a Full Moon involved? It could also be more than that- especially given that the dispositor of the Moon (that’s a fancy pants technical term for the planet that rules the sign the Moon is in) is Jupiter, and Jupiter is involved in the aspect pattern.

All of it is pointing to the message to have a little faith, ride the unexpected stuff and see beyond the rain to the rainbows…and let go enough to enjoy the ride. At least that’s how I’m reading it. Like when Crush, the Sea Turtle on Finding Nemo said, “You never really know. But when they know, you’ll know. You know?”

Anyways, I think that’s what this Full Moon is about.

Doing it for yourself…

By now you should know the drill- if not, check out this post for a refresher.

The point you’re looking for is 11 Sagittarius 49’…or thereabouts. The symbol for Sagittarius is an arrow (see it above).

In my chart, this falls in the 9th house, a few degrees shy of the Midheaven. It makes no other aspects within 2-3 degrees of other planets or points in my chart, but is absolutely about 9th house issues for me and balancing those against 3rd house preoccupations.

Try it for yourself…

The Full Moon in Sagittarius will fall on June 2, or the early hours of June 3- depending where in the world that you are…

And the sea turtle reference? The sea turtle is the journeyman, and that’s what Sagittarius is all about. Naturally images used with all rights attributed as they should be attributed.
