Jupiter moves into Gemini in a few days time- the early hours of Tuesday morning (Sydney time) to be exact-ish.

Other technical stuff:

Jupiter will go retrograde at 16 Gemini on October 4 and station direct at 6 Gemini at the end of January 2013…before moving into Cancer in June 2013 (a great big personal Yay from me on that one…).

Check out the information below and then go to the Jupiter tab at the top of the page and follow the titles to the post that describes your personal transit. Keep an eye out also on any planets or chart points that Jupiter touches along the way.

While Jupiter is in Gemini:

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Gemini- this will be in your 1st house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Cancer- this will be in your 12th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Leo- this will be in your 11th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Virgo- this will be in your 10th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Libra- this will be in your 9th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Scorpio- this will be in your 8th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Sagittarius- this will be in your 7th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Capricorn- this will be in your 6th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Aquarius- this will be in your 5th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Pisces- this will be in your 4th house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Aries- this will be in your 3rd house

If your Sun or Ascendant is in Taurus- this will be in your 2nd house

Which area of life is this happening in?

If the transit is happening in your 1st house, look also to the 7th, 10th & 4th for impacts

Pisces Through the Houses: The Complete Set

Beach toys

I have had a few people asking me to link these together- possibly something to do with my very Piscean habit of not labelling anything in a way which could possibly indicate what it is about.

So, to complete the series:

Pisces in Houses 2-5

Pisces in Houses 6-9

Pisces in Houses 10-12

What about the Ascendant? That deserves a post on its own…

Pisces on the cusp of the 10th house (Gemini Rising)

(For more on this, check out my post at Your Career & the Cosmos)

Ok, let’s talk plainly. You probably still have no idea what you want to do with your life when you grow up. Am I right, or am I right? I am especially right if Neptune is in the 10th.

You have the potential to succeed in so many different areas (as long as you emotionally attach to whatever it is), but because Neptune rules your career zone you have a tendency to idealise a career (or a situation) and then find the reality very different…so you un-attach and move to something different. You have no problems imagining the highs, the glory, the wonders and riches that are waiting for you (not that money is your motivation-or titles, for that matter), but you have absolutely no idea how to make it work in the long term. Boredom, practicality and business as usual sets in and you decide that it isn’t (whatever your latest idea is) isn’t for you after all.

This makes you great at visionary work, or start ups, but not so good at operational roles- although you can also do those if you can convince yourself that there is something (or someone) there worth attaching to- for now. It also means that more often than not, even while you are doing one role you are dreaming of another, or of running away to join the circus, or of dropping out completely. Yet, deep down, you know that these options also won’t live up to their idealized hype.

Jupiter co-rules your career zone, so you also tend to over-reach yourself or under estimate the effort involved. After all, just how hard can it be? You want to save the world, you want to do something that you believe in, you want to make a difference, but sometimes, quite simply, you just have no idea where to start.

Pisces on the cusp of the 11th house (Taurus Rising)

I have one particular friend who my hubby doesn’t like- mainly because this person once broke my heart with a betrayal that I will never forget. My husband was the one who held me tight when this person metaphorically kicked me in the guts. I gave my friend a 2nd chance and we grew closer. My husband can’t understand it and waits for it to happen again. In the meantime, I have them back up on the pedestal and watch through rose coloured glasses.

There isn’t a lot of room to move on pedestals- except perhaps when you fall off. With Pisces on the cusp of the 11th house (or Neptune in the 11th), you tend to set yourself up for disappointment when it comes to friends. You have a habit of idealizing them or setting them up to be more perfect then they are. This makes them feel great, but you have to deal with the kick in the guts when they betray you. You may never forget it (well, you don’t forget betrayals do you?) but will often let them do it again- you are the Queen of Second (and third and fourth) Chances.

Friends constantly disappoint you. You may feel as though they should have phoned you more or asked you more. You may wonder why they never make the first move, or why they rarely seem interested. They probably are (interested) and they probably do (call or ask), but you are so sensitive to undercurrents when it comes to friendships- often seeing slights that quite simply are not there.

You, on the other hand, are extremely generous and loyal when it comes to friends, often sacrificing yourself when you would rather not. Sometimes you attach yourself to a friendship for far longer than you should- well past the use by date of the relationship and through until if it was something in the fridge it would have turned manky and smelly.

Friends are very important to you on an emotional level, but not if the only gift they bring is guilt and obligation. When you feel like you are driving a pity wagon and none of them are getting off, it may be time for you to step down from the drivers seat.

Pisces on the cusp of the 12th house (Aries Rising)

You are more afraid than you let anyone know. You are afraid of being alone and, in some cases, haven’t quite worked out the difference between alone and lonely- this is particularly the case if you also have the Sun in Aries and need others to help fan your flames.

You also don’t like to let anyone see the compassion and sensitivity that you keep hidden away. After all, your rising sign is Aries. You should be flexing your muscles or asserting your will in some other way. You are strong, you are independent- all the textbooks tell you so.

You especially don’t want messy things like feelings and empathy to get in the way of the job that has to be done, the fight that has to be fought, the conquest that has to be won.

The things that go through your head when you are alone, your dreams, visions and inspiration, the feelings that you will never ever tell anyone (unless you have a Pisces friend who you know will “get” it) may sometimes make you wonder if you are going barmy. This is especially the case for Aries Rising peeps with other Pisces personal planets in the 12th. Trust this stuff, listen to your intuition, learn to enjoy your alone time and the thoughts that pop in and out of your consciousness when you are on your own. And, if you have someone who you know will get it, share those thoughts and dreams with them- they are probably sensitive enough to already know…and it won’t make you seem weaker in their eyes.

Magic Carpet Rides and a Little Dickens

Pisces on the cusp of the 6th house (Libra Rising)

Ever have those moments when you worry yourself sick? When you have attached yourself so tightly to what it is that you do on a business as usual basis that you literally become ill?

With Pisces on the cusp of the 6th you carry the emotional responsibility of the world on your shoulders. You want to be everything to everybody, but underneath this drive towards indispensability is a pervading fear that you just aren’t good enough. There, I said it.

Physically, you sacrifice your health for your job…and I don’t know about you, but I haven’t yet met a corporation who I like enough to sacrifice that for…but do have to admit to allowing myself to getting very ill for the sake of unachievable SLAs (that is Service Level Agreements) and objectives in a past life. Being so very Piscean, I will no doubt do it again one day, under the delusion (or is it illusion) that I matter more than my salary number.

However, regardless of your sun sign, if you have Pisces on the cusp of the 6th house, you too are in danger of this. In your efforts to be the best you may have to resort to a little, shall we say, subterfuge in the background. But it will be done by stealth and you hands will be clean.

The other thing is, whatever faceless corporation you are sacrificing your health for on the alter of their climbing profits, at least make sure that you have your own dream to follow. With a clear vision you can lose yourself and escape into work, without it you will get sick.

Speaking of sick, Neptune in the 6th house is the indicator of hard to diagnose health issues…but that is just by the by.

The 6th says a lot about how you like to eat, and with Pisces on the cusp of the 6th, you will eat when you feel like it. Sure your cravings may be dictated by your emotions, but with Libra on the Ascendant you like to look good and need balance in your diet. So, whilst you may enjoy a vino or two (this is Pisces, after all), you need to take care not to escape your problems via the pantry or the bottom of a bottle of wine.

You can be a little fussy in what you like to eat and have definite likes and dislikes. You don’t have that much of a sweet tooth and prefer more savoury foods…and plenty of liquids to wash them down.

Pisces on the cusp of the 7th house (Virgo Rising)

Love may be a many splendoured thing, but with Pisces on the cusp of the 7th house or Neptune in the 7th, it can also be an area of great confusion, frustration and sacrifice. Quite often the “something” that you sacrifice for the sake of relationship is yourself.

With Virgo on the ascendant you are ultimately practical, but may be drawn to someone who is your opposite- someone intuitive, sensitive and someone who needs you to take care of all the little things that need to be taken care of every day. Someone who needs you…and you do like to be needed.

In return, they will provide sympathy, empathy and sensitivity at the end of your long and un-appreciated day.

The catch? You may find yourself projecting unrealistic expectations onto your partner or relationships in general. You can be deluded in and by relationships and may have an ideal or dream lover in mind that no mere mortal can ever match up to… for this reason you may find yourself in danger of sabotaging something that can potentially be really good to protect yourself against a rejection or let down which may never eventuate.

Pisces on the cusp of the 8th house (Leo Rising)

Remember Dickens’ Great Expectations- and the Great Disappointment that followed? Just like Pip, that which you assume will be coming to you, or which you assume to be yours may not, in fact, be yours.

The 8th is about other peoples money, debts, taxes, inheritances, the funds of the partnership…and when Pisces is on the cusp of this house (or Neptune is in the 8th) there will be confusion, delusion, worry and sacrifice in this part of life.

You may be called upon to sacrifice your own desires and needs for the sake of the partnership or joint funds, or a sexually transmitted debt. But, as is the nature of Pisces, you will need to do so with compassion.

Your intuition in this area is stronger than what you may think, so you will be well served to listen to it. If you strongly believe that your partner is over-committing your joint finances, speak up. If you are being asked to guarantee a joint debt or your partners’ personal financial venture, ask the questions, dig deep and trust your instincts.

Pisces on the cusp of the 9th house (Cancer Rising)

When I was a little girl I dreamed of having a magic carpet. The carpet would be Persian from Arabia (and yes I know that Persia and Arabia are two different places, but this is my fantasy and I was too little to know better) and would be a mass of blues and greens with gold trim and long fringing bits of each end. In my dream I could sit on this carpet in the middle of the space between the two beds in the bedroom I shared with my little sister and think about a place and magically arrive there. Originally I had no idea where I was going- just that it would be exotic. As I got to know more and read more, I figured I would land in a souk in Morocco (I had this fascination with Morrocco after this fashion collection Stewart Membery created in the 80s). I figured it didn’t work because I didn’t sit in lotus position and in all the movies they are sitting in lotus, whereas I was sitting with my legs played out behind me in the way that Mum used to say I would regret when I was older because it would kill my knees and ankles. As an aside, she was right.

Pisces on the cusp of the 9th or Neptune in the 9th will generally denote someone who does a heap of astral travelling or travelling in the imagination. As you have Cancer Rising, there is no place like home, but that really doesn’t stop your mind from wandering and dreaming of where else you could be.

But the 9th isn’t just about travel, it is about expansion of your horizons in other ways. With Pisces on the cusp of this house you will be interest in beliefs- whether these are related to traditional religions or something else. It could be as simple as a belief in vegetarianism or a guru of some sort, or a teacher you follow. You will be curious about existential issues or questions of philosophy. Whatever it is that you do believe in, it will be an idealized or visionary faith.

Green Fairies, Big Bad Woolufs and Pisces in the House

Absinthe Spill

Wherever Pisces is in your chart is where you may be (ahem) less than practical, where you may yearn for escape, where you are intuitive, sensitive and delusional. It is also where you seek sanctuary and where you may make sacrifices.

Pisces on the Ascendant? Read any of my Pisces posts- regardless of what sign your Sun is in, you will face the world in a Piscean mask.

Pisces on the cusp of the 2nd house (Aquarius Rising)

The 2nd house tells us a lot about your possessions and the types of things you spend your money on. Pisces likes to dream and escape so will blow money on a fantasy without much thought. After all, what could possibly go wrong? And, if and when it does, you can always either emotionally plead spending under the influence (SUI), sexually transmitted debt (STD), or blame your advisors, the resident con artist or the fraudster you happened to be-friend at the pub last night. Either way, it won’t be your fault and you will be the victim.

It will, however be surprising- your intuition and sense of timing is actually pretty good, but your bullshit radar is not. Rely on the former- it will help you with the latter.

Practicality and prudence- two words starting with P…both of which are, when you have Pisces on the cusp of the 2nd house (or indeed, Neptune in the 2nd house) vastly over-rated.

Here’s another over-rated word for you, but this one starts with F- fine-print, something else you tend to take little notice of- especially when on an official document.

Some more letters for you:

M is for materialistic- something you absolutely aren’t- and Money- which you like, but more for the experiences it can buy you than for its own sake.

G is for generous (which you are) and Greedy (which you definitely are not). C is for Charity and S is for Sob Story and Soft Touch. Need I say more?

Does this sound like you? If you have Venus in Pisces or the 12th house, it very well could be…

Pisces on the cusp of the 3rd house (Capricorn Rising)

Many things in life are over-rated- and for you, words are one of those things…although strictly speaking I guess that is grammatically incorrect. Whatever. Anyways, you have the ability to grasp the meaning behind them, beneath them and around them. Words, that is. Details too are over-rated, which is fortunate given that you don’t do them well.

You know things simply because you do. Intuitively. Lurking in that brain is all sorts of trivia and connections that will come out when you least expect it. Important stuff like…the full team list from the Canterbury 1980 Grand Final winning team, or the name of the song that was used for Scott & Charlenes’ wedding in Neighbours back in the days when Kylie wore mechanics overalls.

Whatever it is that you know, your ideas, your feelings… you are emotionally attached to them. Ok, perhaps not the bit about the Canterbury Bankstown Grand Final winning team. The point is, you choose carefully those who you confide to, and may in fact confide disparate pieces of the same story to a few trusted friends so that no single person knows all of the idea, all of the information or the whole saga end to end. That’s OK, they won’t know the difference, but you will feel safer.

No matter how confident you appear, you may have difficulty in expressing yourself on a personal level- the things that you feel- without emotion getting in the way.

You learn best and study best on your own, hermit like. This allows you to escape into your own world and absorb whatever it is you need to absorb, learn whatever it is you need to learn and let your creativity and imagination do its thing.

The 3rd is also the house of brothers and sisters, the stuff of routine and short journeys. A weekend break can be an escape for you while a longer holiday requires just a little too much organization and time away from work. As for routine? Your emotional health requires your daily routines to run smoothly. Sure you can be flexible when you need to be, but you also need to operate within known guidelines. And siblings? The emotional attachment thing can mean that you often take responsibility for their problems…which can be handy for them and not so great for you.

This may also be you if you have Mercury in Pisces or Mercury in the 12th house or Neptune in the 3rd house.

Pisces on the cusp of the 4th house (Sagittarius Rising)

Home is your sanctuary, your escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday, the place you run to when the big, bad, nasty world bears its teeth and hammers at the door “Little pig, little pig, let me come in….” OK, maybe I was getting a little carried away, but the point is your home is your emotional refuge.

Depending on what else is happening in your chart, it may also be the place where you leave reality behind and slip into the shadow of your own undoing…and those of you with Neptune in the 4th or the Moon in the 12th house will know exactly what I am talking about.

With Pisces on the cusp of the 4th, your home reflects your emotions…and your emotional state.  It goes without saying that you would make the ultimate sacrifice for those you love. You are sentimental when it comes to your family, your roots…but that does not extend to allowing the whole lot of them to live under your roof- you value your privacy and space far too much for that.

You are at your most sensitive in your home environment. It is here that the jangle of daily life and emotional noise seeks peace, so even in the middle of a large family, make sure you have at least one little corner away from everyone else where you can tune out from the world.

Pisces on the cusp of the 5th house (Scorpio Rising)

Van Gogh cut off his own ear, apparently under the influence of the absinthe green fairy- although presumably not the Kylie Minogue tinkerbell one that Baz Luhrmann used in Moulin Rouge. Wow, that’s two references to Kylie in one post. Anyways, the point is, he sacrificed his ear. He was an Aries and (apparently) had Pisces on the MC, so I guess it’s appropriate that his sacrifice was public. The only time I ever tried absinthe I looked hard for the green fairy, but alas, was actually thinking way clearer than I usually do.

My point, what is my point? Just that with Pisces on the 5th, Neptune in the 5th or even the Sun in the 12th house, there will be some type of sacrifice or frustration around self expression in general and 5th house matters in specific.

You yearn to be a creative person, not just express yourself through a hobby, but creation on a fantastical dream like level. Perhaps you are an accountant who seriously could have won the Archibald Prize (for non Aussie readers, that is the pre-eminent portrait prize in Oz) if only you weren’t pushed into your profession by familial pressure. Perhaps you could still create a masterpiece if it weren’t for the fact that your kids have special needs that need consideration.

Which leads me to the next point, with Pisces on the cusp of the 5th you may be called on to sacrifice something of yourself for the sake of whatever or whoever it is that you have given birth to. I say “whatever” because it could be your physical child or a metaphorical one ie a business, a venture, a creative endeavor.

Whatever it is, this area of life will have some element of confusion, delusion and frustration associated with it. If you have Pisces on the cusp of the 5th (or Neptune in the 5th) there is never ever ever ever any such thing as a sure fire bet. Ever.

Oh, a reminder of what the 5th house is about? Anything you give birth to or take a risk on. The 5th is where we fall in love, where we raise our kids (real and metaphorical), where we play, where we create and where we express ourselves.

Next time, Pisces through house 6-9.
